The event took place in Kyiv on September 20–22, 2017.
An important event at the Congress was the presentation of the State Program for the Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Diseases for 2017-2021.
Particular attention was paid to the issue of developing a personalized approach to the treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases based on evidence-based medicine and practical experience in preventive cardiology. In this context, the reports were interesting: “Microlife AFIB – technology for early detection of atrial fibrillation, stroke prevention” and “Modern possibilities for reliable blood pressure control: advantages of triple combination therapy.”
Within the framework of the Congress, a Joint Scientific Session of the European Society of Cardiology and the Ukrainian Association of Cardiologists was held, as well as the I Ukrainian-Polish Forum. Where one could get acquainted with the latest achievements of science in lectures by leading cardiologists from the USA, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Lithuania, Slovakia and Armenia.
At the Microlife stand, everyone could measure blood pressure and make sure that the results had the highest measurement accuracy class - A/A. Practicing doctors and specialists highly appreciated the AFIB technology developed by the Swiss company Microlife. This is the only technology on the blood pressure monitor market that checks the body for the presence of atrial fibrillation automatically during a blood pressure measurement. This provides more complete information about a person’s condition, allows one to identify a pre-stroke condition and provide timely assistance. The indicator of atrial fibrillation is very important, since this type of arrhythmia often passes without obvious symptoms. AFIB is 98% accurate, helping prevent 3 out of 4 strokes and thus saving lives.
