The ESC Congress, held from August 30 to September 2, 2024, covered important topics in modern cardiology. Particular attention was paid to new approaches in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, in particular arterial hypertension, heart failure and cardiometabolic disorders. The topics included risk prevention, combinations of therapeutic methods and new classes of drugs. Experts discussed the results of clinical trials, innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, including recently approved drugs. Special emphasis was placed on personalized therapies for patients with comorbidities. Innovative approaches to cardiac interventions, such as minimally invasive procedures, were also in the spotlight. A large block of reports concerned the use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in medical practice to improve diagnostics and patient monitoring.
